Definition

支柱とは、家具や建物、スポーツ用具などで使われる、直立して支えるための縦の部材のことです。

主に建築・家具・スポーツ用語で使われ、必ず垂直な部材を指します。「upright」と形容詞の意味（正直など）と混同しないように注意しましょう。
