Definition

কিছু বিশ্বাস করতে না চাওয়া বা বিশ্বাসহীন মনোভাব প্রকাশ করা। সাধারণ সন্দেহ, অবিশ্বাস বা কোনো ধার্মিক বিশ্বাসহীন অবস্থার জন্যও ব্যবহার হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

‘unbelieving look’ বা ‘unbelieving faces’ বলতে সাধারণত বিস্মিত বা সন্দিগ্ধ ভাব বোঝায়। আনুষ্ঠানিক বা সাহিত্যিক প্রেক্ষিতে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। ‘disbelieving’-এর চেয়ে অনুভূতি বা সংশয় বেশি প্রকাশ পায়।
