總是讓某演員扮演同一類型的角色，或只因外表、性格或過去的角色認為某人只能做一種事。

多用於演藝圈，語氣通常帶負面意義，指限制演員機會。也可泛指社會中的刻板印象。常見搭配：'typecast as'，'feel typecast'。請勿與 stereotype 混淆，後者意義較廣。
