Definition
Fazer alguém cair ao bloquear-lhe o pé, ou levar alguém a cometer um erro, sobretudo sem querer ou enganando-o.

É informal e pode ser físico (tropeçar) ou figurativo (levar ao erro). Em exames ou entrevistas, usa-se para apanhar alguém desprevenido. Usa-se muitas vezes com complemento: 'trip someone up'.
