与当前事件或议题有关的；也可以指直接涂抹在身体某部位的（医学上）。

有两个常见用法：一是在新闻和讨论中表示与当前相关的主题（如“topical issue”）；二是在医学中指外用药品。勿与“topic”混淆。通常不用于形容人。
