音楽で、管楽器を演奏する際に舌を使って音を区切る技法です。話すときや他の動作で舌を動かすことも指します。

主に音楽、特に管楽器の演奏で使います。日常では舌を使った動作にも使われることがあります。「single tonguing」「double tonguing」などの熟語がよく使われます。
