森林限界とは、山や地域で木が育つことができる最も高い標高のことです。それより上は木が生きられません。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に地理・生態学で使われます。「above the timberline」「near the timberline」などの表現で山の森林が終わる場所を表します。公園や小さな丘に使いません。
