Folhear rapidamente as páginas de um livro, revista ou outro material para procurar algo ou obter uma ideia geral do conteúdo, sem ler tudo com atenção.

Expressão informal, utilizada com livros, revistas, menus, etc., para indicar uma consulta rápida. Usada geralmente com objetos ('thumb through a magazine'). Não se aplica para conteúdo digital, onde se usa 'scroll'. Próxima de 'flip through', que tem sentido semelhante.
