কোনো নিয়ম, চিন্তা বা দুশ্চিন্তা একদম অবহেলা করা বা পাত্তা না দিয়ে কাজ করা; সাবধানতা ছাড়া সাহসিকতার সাথে কিছু করা।

প্রায়শই 'throw caution to the wind(s)' কথাটি সাহসী অথবা ঝুঁকি নিয়ে কিছু করার পরামর্শ বা গল্পে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'in the wind' (গুজব) এর সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না। এটি তুলনামূলকভাবে সাহিত্যিক বা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রেক্ষাপটে শোনা যায়।
