シンナーは、塗料を薄めたり、ペイント用具を洗浄したりする液体です。塗料を塗りやすくしたり、ブラシの掃除に使われます。

主に建築や美術、DIYの現場で使います。日本語では単数でも「シンナー」と言います。油性塗料用が主流で、可燃性なので取り扱いに注意してください。
