茂みやぶ

Definition

低木や小さな木々が密集して生い茂っている場所や、入り込むのが難しいほどのやぶや茂みのこと。

'Thicket'は主に自然の茂みを指します。「困難な状況」を比喩的に表す場合もありますが、普通は森や庭のやぶを言います。

The fox ran into the thicket to hide.
