어딘가에 갔다가 다시 원래 있던 곳으로 돌아오는 전체 여정을 의미함.

주로 일상 대화에서 왕복 소요 시간·거리·비용을 이야기할 때 씀. 공식적 표현은 '왕복'; 은유적으로는 쓰지 않음.

It took me two hours there and back.

**왕복**으로 두 시간이 걸렸어.

The train ticket costs $10 there and back.

기차표가 **왕복** 10달러야.

The walk is three miles there and back.
