對某人進行非常嚴厲或持續的盤問，通常是為了獲取資訊，有時也用來開玩笑地表示被問很多問題。

屬於非正式用語，常有幽默或誇張語氣。最早指警方嚴厲盤問，現在泛指各種被連珠炮式詢問的情境，如父母問晚歸的孩子。常用搭配：'give someone the third degree'。
