誰かを本来すべきでないことに誘ったり、強く惹きつけたりすること。

間違いや危険な行動への誘い（例：'tempts him to steal'）によく使うが、良いものへの強い惹かれにも使う。日常よりやや堅めの表現。

He tempts his brother with candy.
