'tedious' genellikle yazılı ve resmi İngilizcede kullanılır. 'tedious task', 'tedious job', 'tedious process' gibi beraber kullanılır. Zaman alan, tekrarlayan sıkıcılık vurgulanır; sadece 'sıkıcı'dan daha yoğundur.
