Definition

কিছু জোরে বা বারবার ছেঁড়ে ফেলা, সাধারণত হাত বা নখর দিয়ে। এটি এমন অনুভূতিকেও বোঝাতে পারে যা কাউকে গভীরভাবে কষ্ট দেয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

শারীরিক কাজের জন্য ('tear at the paper') ও মানসিক যন্ত্রণার জন্য ('guilt tore at him') ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'tear'-এর চেয়ে বেশি আক্রমণাত্মক ও বারবার ঘটে এমন বোঝায়।
