Definition

বিপদ বা সমস্যা থেকে বাঁচতে পাহাড় বা নির্জন জায়গায় পালিয়ে যাওয়া বা লুকিয়ে পড়া; কখনও কখনও সরাসরি, কখনও রূপক অর্থে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'take to the hills' সাধারণত গল্প, রসিকতা বা নাটকীয় পালাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সত্যিকারের পাহাড়ে পালানো না হলেও কোন কিছুকে এড়াতে দ্রুত কোথাও চলে যাওয়ার অর্থেও ব্যবহার হয়। 'run for the hills' এর মত।
