Definition
Criticar ou repreender alguém por um erro ou comportamento inadequado, normalmente de forma direta e séria.

Expressão semi-formal e um pouco antiquada, mais comum em textos e discursos formais. Normalmente usada quando uma pessoa com autoridade repreende verbalmente outra por um erro. Não significa punição física, apenas crítica verbal.
