Definition

অন্যরা কিছু করার আগে নিজে থেকে কোনো কাজ বা সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া বা উদ্যোগী হওয়া। সাধারণত কোনো দলের মধ্যে নেতৃত্ব বা সাহসিকতার দরকার পড়লে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এই শব্দবন্ধটি একটু অফিসিয়াল বা গুরুতর পরিবেশে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'take the initiative to...' অথবা 'take the initiative in...'—এর মতো বাক্যে খুঁজে পাবেন। ছোটখাটো কাজে ব্যবহার করবেন না।
