Definition
Começar a arder ou pegar fogo, normalmente de forma acidental. Também pode significar ser atacado de repente (sobretudo por armas) em contexto militar.

Mais comum em contextos literários, técnicos ou militares do que no uso diário. Usado para objetos ('a casa', 'o carro'). No contexto militar, significa ser atacado a tiro. Não confundir com 'set fire' (atear fogo intencionalmente).
