Definition

会議で何かを正式に議題として提出すること（イギリス英語）、または議論を後回しにすること（アメリカ英語）です。国によって意味が異なります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

イギリス英語では「議題を提出する」、アメリカ英語では「議論を先送りする」という反対の意味になります。ビジネスや会議などフォーマルな場でよく使われます。方言に注意してください。
