Definition

何か（多くは布や素材）で完全に包まれている、または覆われている状態。暗闇や霧に包まれている場合にも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

文学的・描写的な表現で使われることが多い。「布で包まれる」だけでなく、「謎に包まれる」や「霧に包まれる」など比喩的にも使われます。日常会話では「包まれた」が一般的。
