「Struck」は何かを打ったり、突然思いついたり、強く感動したときに使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

直訳（物理的に打つ）と比喩的（強く印象を受ける、突然気づく）の両方で使います。「struck by lightning」「it struck me that...」の形でよく見かけます。
