Pendurar algo ou alguém com uma corda. Também pode se referir à execução de alguém por enforcamento, em contexto histórico ou informal.

'String up' pode referir-se a pendurar objectos ('string up lights') ou, de forma figurada/histórica, executar alguém por enforcamento. O segundo sentido é mais duro e deve ser usado com cuidado. Não confundir com 'string along' (enganar).
