أن تجلس أو تقف وساقاك على جانبي شيء ما؛ وأيضًا أن تكون منخرطًا في أو تغطي جانبين أو مجالين مختلفين في نفس الوقت.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تستخدم غالباً لوصف الجلوس أو الوقوف بعرض شيء ما، وأيضاً مجازياً لعدم الانحياز لطرف معين، كما في 'straddling the fence' (الوقوف على الحياد وعدم اتخاذ قرار).
