スタンディッシュとは、昔のインクやペンなどを書く道具を入れるための容器です。たいてい机の上に置かれていました。

「standish」は昔の言葉で、現代ではほとんど使いません。歴史小説や博物館、骨董店などで見かけます。今は「インク壷」と言います。
