নিজেকে এক জায়গায় দাঁড় করিয়ে রাখা এবং কোনোভাবেই না নড়া; কখনো-কখনো কিছু আগানো বা পরিবর্তন না হওয়াকেও বোঝাতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

শিশুদের বা জরুরি অবস্থায় 'stand still' নির্দেশ হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। ছবি তোলার সময় 'Please stand still' বলা হয়। রূপক অর্থে কোনো অগ্রগতি না থাকলেও এই শব্দটি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
