Definition
Mantenerse de pie sin moverse; quedarse en un lugar sin hacer ningún movimiento. También puede referirse a algo que no cambia o no progresa.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa mucho al dar instrucciones físicas o describir falta de movimiento: 'Stand still mientras tomo la foto.' También puede ser metafórico para indicar falta de avance. Se dice mucho a niños o en situaciones de emergencia.
