"stand on" in Bengali
Definition
কোনো কিছুর ওপর নিজের পা রেখে দাঁড়ানো; আবার কখনো কোনো বিশ্বাস, নীতিতে দৃঢ় থাকা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
শারীরিক বা রূপক অর্থে ব্যবহার করা যায়—'stand on principles' মানে নিজের বিশ্বাসে অটল থাকা। 'stand up' বা 'stand for' এর সাথে মিলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
