Definition

祕密監視某地或某人，通常是為了抓到做非法或可疑事情的人。警方常會執行監控以蒐集證據。

多用於警察、偵探場合，可作名詞（一次監視）、動詞。非正式時也可指為目的仔細觀察。常用搭配：「監視這棟房子」、「盯著這家店」。不是指普通等候。

The police decided to stake out the suspect's apartment.
