"stack the cards" in Japanese
Definition
誰かに有利になるよう不正をしたり状況を操作したりすること。本来はトランプの順番を不正に並び替える意味。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
会話や記事などで比喩的に使われることが多く、カードゲーム以外で不正な優遇や操作を表す。'stack the cards against/in favor of someone'という形がよく使われ、口語的。正々堂々の競争では使わない。
