Definition

物や人を掃除したり整理したり装飾したりして、より見た目をきれいにしたり魅力的にすること。

「sprucing up」は軽く整える・きれいにする時に使う。大幅な修理ではなく、見た目を良くする小さな変化に使う。修理や本格的な工事には使わない。

She is sprucing the living room for the guests.
