অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়, যখন কারও প্রশংসা বা কথা খুব বেশি ও অবিশ্বাস্য মনে হয়। “spread it on thick” এবং “lay it on thick” এর অনুরূপ অর্থ প্রকাশ করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
