ヘビのように体をくねらせながら滑るように進む様子。また、人や物が静かに、こっそりと動く時にも使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ヘビやミミズなどの動きに使うことが多いですが、人や物がこっそりと動く時にも使われます。“slide”よりヘビのようなニュアンスが強いです。
