Definition

刈り取った麦や稲などの茎をまとめて束ねたもの。多くは収穫後に作る。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

詩や昔の農業の話で使われる表現。現代の日常会話ではほとんど使われません。「sheavesを束ねる」=「束ねる」こと。
