Definition

'Scums' বলতে খারাপ বা ময়লা স্তর বোঝায় যা কোনো তরলের উপরে জমে যায়, অথবা অপমানজনকভাবে খারাপ ও নীচু মানুষকে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

মানুষের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হলে অত্যন্ত অবমাননাকর এবং অশ্লীল; 'different types of scums' এর মতো বৈজ্ঞানিক বা বর্ণনামূলক ক্ষেত্রে মুখ্যত: তরল বা রাসায়নিক প্রেক্ষাপটে ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণ ভাষায় 'scum' বেশি প্রচলিত।
