Definition

특히 돈이나 음식을 가지고 있지 않을 때, 부탁하거나 찾아다니며 겨우 구하는 것.

주로 비공식적 상황이나 급하게 조금 필요할 때 쓴다. 'scrounged up some money'는 돈을 간신히 모았다는 뜻. 정식이나 큰 부탁에는 쓰지 않는다.

He scrounged some coins from the sofa cushions.
