إزالة كتابة بخط أو شطبها، أو بالكاد الحصول على شيء بعد جهد كبير.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تعبير غير رسمي، يستخدم عادة لشطب الكلمات المكتوبة، أو للدلالة على تحقيق شيء بصعوبة ('scratch out a living'). لا تخلطه مع 'scratch' (يحك أو يخدش) أو 'cross out'، بالرغم من التشابه.
