スコティアは、主に古典建築の柱の基部に見られる、凹状にカーブした装飾的な溝です。2つの平面の間に作られる曲線状の部分です。

「スコティア」は日常会話で使われない専門的な建築用語です。「スコティアモールディング」のように複合語で使われることが多いです。ノバスコシアなど他の意味と混同しないよう注意。
