Quitar una planta, objeto o algo completamente, incluyendo su raíz o base. También puede significar eliminar algo por completo.

Se usa con plantas físicas o problemas metafóricos, como 'root up the weeds' o 'root up corruption'. Más formal o literario, y en contextos rurales. No confundir con 'dig up', que puede no implicar eliminar la raíz.
