질문이나 말을 실제로 답을 기대하지 않고 효과나 설득을 위한 목적으로 할 때 사용되는 표현 방식입니다.

공식적, 학문적 상황에서 사용됨. '수사적인 질문' 등, 실제 답을 묻지 않는 경우에 자주 쓰입니다. 일상 대화에서는 드물게 사용됩니다.

He asked the question rhetorically.
