Definition
Intentar vomitar pero normalmente no sale nada; hacer los movimientos y sonidos de vomitar sin expulsar nada.

Se usa sobre todo en contextos médicos o descriptivos. Suele señalar una reacción a olores o imágenes desagradables o enfermedad. 'Retching' no es tan coloquial como 'vomitar', pero describe el acto de casi vomitar.
