“Retaliated” 較為正式，多見於新聞、法律或衝突上下文。重點是以同樣方式回應傷害，常搭配 'retaliated against', 'retaliated by'。兒童間較常用 'fought back'。與 'revenge'（更個人／情緒化）有別。
