一度失ったものや逃げたものを再び取り戻したり、捕まえたりすること。人や場所、感情などに使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
ニュースや歴史など、やや形式的な場面で使われます。人物（脱走囚）、場所（都市）、感情などに使えます。単なる「取り戻す」（recovered）とは異なります。
