Definition

何かに手を伸ばして触れたり取ろうとすること。また、何かがどこまで及ぶかを表すときにも使う。

物理的な動作や距離感を強調するときに使います。抽象的な意味では通常 'reach' だけを使います（例：'reach an agreement'）。
