Definition
Ser incluido en un grupo particular o nivel; ser considerado como uno de los mejores, peores, más importantes, etc., en una categoría.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa en contextos formales o semiformal. Normalmente va seguido de 'the best', 'the top', 'the highest', etc., o categorías como 'among the most famous'. Ojo: no se usa para un puesto literal (usa 'is ranked as'). 'Rank among' enfatiza pertenecer a un grupo destacado.
