Definition

一種禮貌的說法，表示你現在無法接受邀請，但下次希望參加；最初指因雨延期活動時給予補票。

非正式用語，主要在美式英語中出現。不是真的和下雨有關，多用於“Can I take a raincheck?”、“I'll take a raincheck.”這類委婉推辭邀約，希望下次再約。中文多用“下次吧”或“改天”。

Sorry, I have to take a raincheck on dinner tonight.

對不起，今晚晚餐我只能**下次再約**了。
