恐怖や寒さ、強い感情などによって身体が震える状態を表します。地震のときの地面の揺れにも使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
'quaking with fear'や'quaking in the cold'など、詩的または描写的な場面で使われます。日常会話ではあまり使われません。
