Definition
Colocar força ou pressão sobre algo com o corpo ou um objeto, ou ganhar peso corporal. Usado literalmente para pressão física e figurativamente para engordar.

Muito utilizado em contextos médicos e de ginástica. Literal: "put weight on your pé" (apoiar peso). Para engordar, também se usa "put on weight". Não se deve confundir com "carry weight" (ser importante).
