何かを詳細に、時間をかけて注意深く調べたり読むこと。細かい部分まで理解しようとする場合に使う。

「documents」「reports」「data」などと一緒に使われやすい。飲み物を注ぐ意味ではないので注意。少しフォーマルだが、日常会話や文章でもよく使われる。
